The CCTV Challenge
Health and safety has always been of paramount importance to Durrington Junior School. The school had an existing analogue CCTV system installed as one of its security measures. However, the system was dated, littered with black spots and the image quality was pixelated.
With poor quality images, the system was not fit for purpose. Individuals were difficult to identify, potentially making the school vulnerable to vandalism or theft. So in an effort to minimise risk, the school took action and contacted SBC to provide an upgrade from analog to digital that offers full high-definition quality without overhauling their wiring.
The CCTV Solution:
SBC designed and installed a professional CCTV solution developed by Hikvision to ensure all school entrances, car parks, playgrounds, fields and building perimeters were covered. 11x HD cameras were fitted with true day and night, 30x metre infrared (IR) to provide excellent picture quality, even during hours of darkness. At the core of the CCTV installation is a state-of-the-art recorder with features such as live viewing, video recording, motion sensors, email notifications, smart video playback and remote view via mobile or tablet devices. All camera activity is recorded onto a scalable, 06x terabyte hard disc recorder, which gives Durrington Junior School the ability to playback and archive any incidents with unrivalled image resolution.
Durrington Junior School, said, “It has been a pleasure working with SBC. The image quality of the cameras are amazing. Your engineer Adam who fitted our schools new Hikvision CCTV system is a gem!!! So helpful, tidy worker, polite, an asset to your company.”
