Looking for an alternative to a Fibre Leased Line?

SBC Bonded Broadband

What is Bonded Broadband?

Bonded Broadband works by bonding up to 4 standard broadband lines together, creating a single virtual broadband connection to the internet for your business. It’s the ideal solution if you are looking for a cost-effective way to increase your speed or are unable to benefit from other solutions such as Fibre Broadband.

How does it work?

Our pre-configured routers effortlessly combine multiple broadband lines running to your business. As soon as these lines hit our aggregator, the bandwidth is combined – creating one high-speed connection. This not only means faster speeds for your business but also the simplicity of managing your connection as if it were a single line.

Combined speeds

As the speeds of your lines are combined, you benefit from having the most available bandwidth. We don’t cap your speed to that of the lowest-performing line – with Bonded Broadband, your lines are combined, giving you the actual speed of your lines together. Only a tiny part of your bandwidth is lost during this virtualisation process.

As Bonded Broadband uses more than one line, it is more reliable than standard broadband, giving your business peace of mind.

Should one router or line between you and the exchange fail, your connection will continue using the remaining lines.

Bonded Broadband is designed to give your business a cost-effective alternative to Internet Leased Lines – an ideal solution for businesses that are unable to use services such as Fibre Broadband because of location.

Quick to order and install

Bonded Broadband can be ordered and installed within 10 days – compared to the usual lead time of 72 days for an Internet Leased Line. Not only that but it’s easy to install – allowing you to get on with running your business. SBC will need to have the lines installed into your property. These will need to be within the same area as the routers need to be connected together.

What are the benefits of a Bonded Broadband Solution?

  • Unlike some providers, we don’t cap line speed at the lowest-performing line so you get greater speeds from your connection.
  • Traffic is combined through our aggregator; this means your connection continues even if one router fails. This means greater resilience for your business.
  • Bonded DSL offers much higher speeds and resilience than a standard ADSL solution at a much lower cost than other premium connectivity products such as leased lines.

What hardware do I need?

Our solutions come with all the preconfigured routers you’ll need to get your connection set up and should you need any help our award-winning support team are just a call away. All you will need is a network switch.

What speeds can I hope to achieve?

Unfortunately, it’s not possible to predict the speed of your Bonded Broadband solution with absolute certainty. However, our speed test at the bottom of this page can give you an estimate of the speed you can hope to achieve in your area.

What will these higher speeds allow me to achieve?

Bonded Broadband is the perfect solution for businesses looking to use cost-saving but bandwidth-hungry technologies like voice over IP and cloud computing. Alternatively, if you’re finding that your ADSL connection simply can’t take the strain placed upon it by your staff, BondedDSL is the perfect solution for you.

Where is Bonded Broadband Available?

Because it bonds standard ADSL lines Bonded DSL is available at all broadband-enabled exchanges nationwide, unlike Fibre and SDSL services.
