As a result, a fantastic opportunity has become available for a telecoms PBX engineer with a strong background in business PBX and VoIP systems. As a Telecoms PBX Engineer you will be responsible for installing, commissioning and programming telephone systems for new and existing customers across the South. This is predominantly a field based role with the occasional office day assisting the technical support team when required. If you have a background as a telecoms Engineer, and you’re based within 50 miles of Andover then we want to speak to you. You will need to have a strong understanding of telecommunications and PBX telephone systems (ideally Panasonic). Additional knowledge and experience in Hosted Telephony (ideally Gamma), Wi-Fi networks and SIP technology would be highly desirable. You’ll have IT skills as well as basic labouring skills. You’ll need to be presentable and personable, dealing with customers professionally. You’ll have good IT skills and a working knowledge of windows based packages and other databases, and hold a full current UK driving licence. The successful Telecoms Engineer will need to demonstrate previous experience of installation / maintenance of PBX phone systems and peripheral telecom equipment. These include Tri–line (call recording), Commsoft (call reporting), Gamma Horizon, Enterprise Grade Routers, IP CCTV and network voice recording products. Any experience of Panasonic products would be a distinct advantage although other makes would also be considered. You will also benefit from a comprehensive training programme including manufacturers training off site. Duties:
